CBP: Overview on its indications and efficacy
CBP or complete body peel is newer modality performed by various cosmetic dermatologists globally. Nowadays aesthetic awareness is on its flow amongst people and they want to get rid of each and every thing which stops them to look beautiful. The agents used for this procedure are lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, jessner’s solution etc., amongst most commonly used are lactic and glycolic acid, TCA and Phenol are not used for CBP. Procedure involved application of selective salt all over the body, after its sensitivity done and thorough patient history, salt selection is all based upon the patient’s entity and ease. Conditions like macular amyloidosis and swimming pool tan can be treated with salicylic acid -40% effectively up to 80%, while other salts are ineffective. Post Acne hyperpigmentation and chicken pox scars can be treated with any of the salt. Consecutive sittings are required depends upon the response of the entity treated. Approximately minimum four and maximum ten sittings required.
