Objectives:-

Instructions to patients prior treatment

Patients should be warned that they will look terrible for
at least 10 days following our treatment. The first two days
the skin appears slightly pink. On days 3 and 4, the skin
darkens. By day five the skin begins to peel off in sheets.
The peeling should be complete by day 10. However, protocol
may vary patient to patient and to their skin type.

It usually takes at least four sittings before pt can begin
to see any significant improvement.

Don’t keep unrealistic expectations, if patient’s
expectations are realistic, they will be pleased with the
results with our procedures.

ANTI-ACNE PEEL

Application 4 consecutive peel with jessner’s solution weekly followed by 4 consecutive peel with salicylic acid 10,15,20 and 30% with a interval of 12 days between each peel.

Application 5 consecutive application of 30% salicylic acid with a interval of 15 days between each peel.

POST-PROCEDURE CARE

To avoid sun exposure for at least 7 days.

To use sunscreen regularly.

To avoid use of retinoic acid for 7 days post procedure.

Not to pick the skin which is exfoliating.

To avoid shower directly on the face.

To report immediately if any complication is noticed.

To report on 7^th day after procedure.

To avoid frequent use of soap and water for at least 3-4 days, to allow epidermal dessication and separation.

To avoid emollients at least for 24 to 48 hrs to promote epidermal dessication.

To sleep on back as far as possible.

To use hydroquinone regularly (for anti-tan & anti-tan –plus peel).

To restart retinoic acid after 7 days.

Not to use any beauty products nor undergo any beauty procedures.

Not to scrub face and treated skin even with towel, use light hand to pet.

Long term management:

Regular peels at regular interval

Treatment of the underlying condition

Regular use of sunscreens

Regular use of emollients, topical retinoic acid etc.
